ACTIONS SHAPING LICKING COUNTY
ELECTION ACADEMY
Training for Local Leaders
Our inaugural Election Academy, co-hosted with the Granville Chamber of Commerce on June 23, drew a full house of civic-minded local leaders. Aspiring candidates for local office learned more about the nuts and bolts of running for office—from filing deadlines and campaign finance rules to ethics and best practices for grassroots strategies. Thanks to all participants including Brian Mead and Tess Wigginton of the Licking County Board of Elections, current elected officials, former campaign volunteers, and potential candidates who made the event such a success.
VOTER REGISTRATION
& Voter Information Dissemination
Local League members provided voter information and voter registration at both Granville Pride (prior to the downpour!) and at Granville’s July 4th celebration.
HONORING JOHN LEWIS
Living legacy of "Good Trouble"
To honor Congressman John Lewis’s legacy of "Good Trouble" and LWV’s commitment to voting rights, voter protection, and voter access, LWV of Licking County co-sponsored and provided voter registration at the July 17th Good Trouble rally in Newark and provided voter registration at the Reynoldsburg Good Trouble rally as well.
